Qatar has announced a USD 50 million donation to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) which operates in the Palestinian territories and asylum countries.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with the delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which includes members of the security, defence and foreign affairs committees of the national parliaments, currently visiting the State of Qatar.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Wednesday witnessed the signing of cooperation arrangements between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European External Action of the European Union, held at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Monday with HE the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock, and HE UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Tuesday met with HE U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, on the sidelines of the 37th session of the Human Rights Council, currently underway in the Swiss city of Geneva.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani reaffirmed that punishing the perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity and other serious crimes in Syria has become an urgent humanitarian necessity before being a legal necessity, noting that statute of limitations does not apply in these crimes.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that the State of Qatar sees the major sporting events as unique opportunities for spreading the values of brotherhood, solidarity, peace and human rights.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani called on Human Rights Council to end the violations resulting from the illegal siege and the unilateral coercive measures taken by the siege countries against the Qatari people, and to hold accountable those responsible for these violations while compensating the victims.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi and HE Foreign Ministry's Secretary-General Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met here on Thursday with sisterly and friendly countries' ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar.
