Qatar Announces USD 50 Million Donation to UNRWA

Qatar has announced a USD 50 million donation to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) which operates in the Palestinian territories and asylum countries.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Wednesday witnessed the signing of cooperation arrangements between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European External Action of the European Union, held at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Monday with HE the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock, and HE UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi.





Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Urges Human Rights Council to End Siege Violations

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani called on Human Rights Council to end the violations resulting from the illegal siege and the unilateral coercive measures taken by the siege countries against the Qatari people, and to hold accountable those responsible for these violations while compensating the victims.
