HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi met today with the ambassadors of European friendly countries accredited to the State of Qatar.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Wednesday met HE Chair of the Board of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), Carol Bellamy.

Speaker of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdallah Al-Mahmoud met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia and the head of the Georgian Delegation, H.E. Dr. Irakli Kobakhidze, within the 138th IPU Assembly in Geneva.

HE Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi has said that the Gulf crisis is a political crisis between brothers and that it must be resolved through constructive dialogue, in accordance with the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The State of Qatar informed the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General of a violation of Qatari sovereignty on the part of UAE.

The State of Qatar has reiterated its commitment to supporting international cooperation in the interest of achieving peace, stability and prosperity for humanity, employing education in the face of extremism and terrorism and assisting countries in implementing strategies to prevent all forms of cross-border crime.

The State of Qatar said funding the projects of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reflects a commitment that must be fulfilled by the global community. It also said it is necessary to provide adequate guarantees for the continued funding of the agency and not to expose it to any financial shortfalls that violate its responsibilities and obligations.
