Qatar's NHRC: Humanitarian Directives Lack Mechanism to Assist Those Affected

The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) of the State of Qatar described the recent directives issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding the humanitarian situation of mixed-citizenship families as too vague to have any practical impact and are void of a mechanism to be of assistance to those affected.



UN Praises Qatar Charity, Its Projects with OCHA

The United Nations(UN) said it is bound only by the list of sanctions adopted by the organs of the United Nations and the Security Council. This came in UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric response to a question about the list, made by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Bahrain, of so the called "terrorist organizations and entities" featuring the name of Qatar Charity.


Qatar Denounces Statement Made by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and UAE

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday the following: The State of Qatar denounces a statement made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on June 8 which involved many false allegations directed at the State of Qatar made for political gains and to tarnish the public opinion's image of the State of Qatar.



Qatar Supports UN Office For The Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs With $40 Million

The State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Fund for Development, has signed an agreement with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to provide a multi-year generous financial contribution of $40 million to support the office, in the presence of HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and HE Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina Mohammed.


HH the Emir Patronizes Opening of 17th Doha Forum

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the opening of the 17th edition of the Doha Forum, which is being held under the theme "Development, Stability and Refugee Crisis" in the presence of HE President of the Republic of Sudan Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, HE President of Republic of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, HE Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic Saad Al Hariri and HE Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Ali Khayre, as well as a number of Their Excellencies heads of delegations participating in the Forum, at the Doha Sheraton Hotel on Sunday morning.
