The State of Qatar affirmed that the insistence of Israel, the occupying power, on continuing attacks, violations and crimes against the brotherly Palestinian people reflects its true intentions to thwart all international efforts aimed at achieving peace and security, as well as its endeavor to undermine the two-state solution.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with HE Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Al Hajraf, who is visiting the country.

The State of Qatar participated in the meetings of the high-level segment of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, which began today in Geneva.

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Said Al-Thani co-chaired with HE Permanent Representative of Sweden Ambassador Anna Enestrom the first formal session to facilitate consultations on the political declaration for the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met on Thursday with HE Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) of the United Nations Michele Coninsx, who is currently visiting the country.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani reiterated Qatar's call to all countries in the Middle East to conclude a binding security agreement, specifying the conditions for its success to be "collective and binding; based on agreed principles of security, developed with rules of governance, dispute resolution, and accountability; respectful of sovereignty and equality among its members; a commitment to non-interference in internal affairs."
