The State of Qatar stressed its keenness to strengthen partnership and constructive dialogue with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), noting the increasing concern of the international community about the continuing high rate of asylum and displacement around the world.

The Hague Institute for Global Justice stressed that the siege imposed by the four countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt) on Qatar has not only created major political and economic disturbances in the region, but also raised many issues of international law.

The State of Qatar has stressed that levelling charge of terrorism solely because of political differences or tarnishing the image of States to try to isolate them and to impose guardianship on their sovereign decision is contrary to the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi said that the measures imposed by the siege countries on the State of Qatar would undermine the efforts of the Group of 77 and China to strengthen the unity of the group and the cooperation between its countries.

Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi has reiterated that the State of Qatar will remain committed to working within the framework of the Global Counter- Terrorism Forum and bilateral relations, and with all international organizations working in the fight against violent extremism to achieve the objectives of the international community in consolidation of the security and stability of States and peoples.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi has affirmed the State of Qatar's categorical rejection of the unilateral coercive measures and the illegality of the siege imposed on Qatar.

"Despite the attempted assault on the Qatari people, the blockade served as an opportunity for Qatar's citizens to showcase the principles and values in which they believe, which are tolerance and justice. It showed the world what we stand for and what we believe in," HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said.
