H.E. Dr. Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia received H.E. Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, State Minister for Defense Affairs of the State of Qatar during his visit to Georgia.

At the beginning of the meeting H.E. State Minister for Defense Affairs conveyed  greetings of His Highness, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, to H.E. President of Georgia, and his wishes for more progress and prosperity of Georgian people.

For his part, President Giorgi Margvelashvili presented his greetings to H.E. State Minister for Defense Affairs to be delivered to His Highness, Emir of Qatar, wishing him good health and happiness and further progress and prosperity for the Qatari people.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Georgia, and ways of further enhancing them. Views were also exchanged on a number of issues having common interest, especially in the military fields, and the overall situation in the international arena.

The meeting was attended by  H.E. Ms. Tinatin Khidaseli, Minister of Defense of Georgian and  H.E. Mr. Mubarak Bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Georgia.
